Casino Craps Rules
The Casino Game Craps is a very exciting Gambling Game to play. It is very common to hear yelling and shouting at a craps game table.
Craps and The Rules of the Game
- Craps is Played on a Craps Table built especially for the game.
- Craps is played with a set of two perfectly balanced dice with each die having six white dots numbered 1 through 6.
- Craps Game dice are made by strict standards and are regularly inspected for any sort of damage.
- During the course of a craps night, the dice are replaced with new ones approximately every 8 hours.
- There are also certain rules to follow when throwing the dice.
When throwing the dice, the Craps Player must only handle the dice in one hand, and the dice must hit the walls on the reverse side of the table. When dice are accidentally (or not so accidentally) thrown off the table, be it one or both, the dice must be inspected by the Stickman before they are allowed back into play.
You may have up to 20 players in the Game of Craps, and they all stand around the craps table. Every player gets a turn to roll the dice, unless they don't want to, in which case they are able to bet on the player who is 'throwing' the dice. There are many types of Craps Game Bets and Craps Betting Strategies and Craps Systems of Play available to you, and the table will generally have a Stickman, a Boxman, and 2 Craps Dealers to help you out.
The Casino Game Craps
The basic idea behind Gambling Craps Online or in a Gambling Casino is to establish a "Point" number and roll that number again before rolling a 7 (craps). Only the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 can be a point number and all other rolls of the dice have special meanings depending on when they are rolled (before or after a point is established).
The first time the Craps Dice are rolled, it is called a 'come out' roll, and every New Game of Casino Craps is started with this type of roll. A 'come out" roll is made only when the player previous is unable to make a winning roll, meaning, they fail to make the 'point' or 'seven out'. If this happens, you begin a new game of casino craps with the next player as the shooter. If the current player does make his 'point', he receives the dice again and begins the next 'come out' roll. This is a continuation of that shooter's roll, even though technically, the "Come Out Roll" identifies a new game about to begin.
When the Craps Shooter doesn't make his 'point', the dice are circulated to the next player for a new 'come out' roll and the game continues. Craps turns move in a clockwise manner, so the next shooter is always the person from the left of the previous shooter.
Betting Craps and
The Craps Table of Play
The Craps Table is divided into three area's... two side area's that are separated by a center area. The side area's are divided into different types of bets you can make:
- Pass Line bets
- Don't Pass line bets
- Come bets
- Don't Come bets
- Odds bet
- Place bets
- Field bets
The center area contains the Proposition Bets, and is shared between both side areas.
Casino Craps Game Betting Rules
Below is a list of the various Casino Craps Bets you can make according to Official Casino Craps Game Rules.
Pass Line Bet...
- You win if the first roll is a natural (7, 11)
- You lose if it is craps (2, 3, 12)
- If a point is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) it must be repeated before a 7 is thrown in order to win.
- If 7 is rolled before the point you lose.
Odds on Pass Line Bet - After a point is rolled you can make this additional bet by taking odds. There are different payoffs for each point.
- A point of 4 or 10 will pay you 2:1
- A point of 5 or 9 pays 3:2
- A point of 6 or 8 pays 6:5
You only win if the point is rolled again before a 7
Come Bet... It has the same rules as the Pass Line Bet. The difference consists in the fact you can make this bet only after the point on the pass line has been determined. After you place your bet the first dice rolled will set the come point. You win if it is a natural (7, 11) and lose if it is craps (2, 3, 12). Other rolls will make you a winner if the come point is repeated before a 7 is rolled. If a 7 is rolled first you lose.
Odds on Come Bet - Exactly the same thing as the Odds on Pass Line bet except you take odds on the Come bet not the Pass Line bet.
Don't Pass Line Bet... This is the reversed Pass Line bet.
- If the first roll of a dice is a natural (7, 11) you lose
- If it is a 2 or a 3 you win
- A dice roll of 12 means you have a tie or push with the casino
- If the roll is a point (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10), a 7 must come out before that point is repeated to make you a winner
- If the point is rolled again before the 7 you lose
Don't Come Bet... The reversed Come Bet, once the come point has been established.
- You win if it is a 2 or 3 and lose for 7 or 11
- If it is a 12, you tie or push with the casino
- All other dice rolls will make you win only if a 7 appears before them on the following throws
Place Bet... This bet works only after the point has been determined.
- You can bet on a dice roll of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10
- You win if the number you placed your bet on is rolled before a 7, otherwise you lose
The Place Bets payoffs are different depending on the number you bet on.
- 4 or 10 will pay 9:5
- 5 or 9 pays 7:5
- 6 or 8 pays 7:6
